The benefit of personalised coaching is exactly that – it is specific to you and we take into account your individual circumstances and goals. We can also modify your plan as we go to make sure that both your workouts and your recovery are effective. Of course, it is possible to find generic training plans online or in magazines, but they are unlikely to address your specific needs. The key for me as a coach is that we use your time as efficiently as possible to have the most impact through your training. Your plan will take into account your current strengths, prior knowledge, injury history, time available, and anything else that might affect your training. Also, I’m aware that outside life tends to happen and we can adapt quickly to changes in your situation.
You should feel that you are making progress throughout your training, whatever your baseline fitness or starting point. One of the benefits of having a coach is that they can usually push you further than you will push yourself, leading to noticeable and sustained improvements. For a cyclist prepared to spend hundreds, or even thousands of pounds to save a few grams of weight on the bike, coaching is a far more cost-effective way to maximise performance.
Whether you are a new rider or an experienced athlete, getting back on the bike, entering a competition or preparing for your next great adventure, we can create a plan that supports your goals. Let CSC structure your training so you can enjoy riding your bike.
